Employee Spotlight: Joanne Porter Supervisor Martinsburg/Keyser Area

Home Base Inc. is excited to welcome

our new Unit Supervisor for the Martinsburg/Keyser Area!

"My career started at the local children's shelter. That is where my love of working with children and their families from all backgrounds began. From there I went into intensive in-home therapy working with vulnerable youth and adults with various backgrounds and needs. I also conducted parental supervisions as well as parent mentoring. Additionally, I worked extensively with families for some time facilitating their Medicaid waivers. Lastly, I have experience with the Department of Family Services in Child Protective Services.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as going camping and cooking out.

The reason I got into this field was helping families and seeing the benefits that come from services I've provided and the joy on their faces when they seceded in meeting their goals. Each day I look forward to working with new families and seeing their progress."
