Kayla McCartney

Community Based Services Manager

Kayla has been with Home Base Inc. for five years, overseeing operations in Fairmont, Wheeling, and Parkersburg. She helps manage the Socially Necessary Services while also handling key administrative responsibilities, ensuring that the organization runs smoothly and effectively supports clients and staff across multiple locations. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys caring for her houseplants and spending time with her dogs.

Kelli Church

Wraparound Facilitator

Kelli Church is a Wraparound Facilitator with Home Base Inc. in Fairmont, WV. She works closely with youth and families to develop care plans that reflect their strengths, needs, and personal goals, ensuring families feel heard, supported, and connected to the services that make a meaningful difference. Kelli has over five years of experience working with teens and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and creating memories with her family, always embracing new adventures.

Beth Sodomick

Therapist

Beth Sodomick is a Clinical Counselor with Home Base Inc., holding a Master’s degree in Art Therapy with a specialization in Counseling. She utilizes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and incorporates art as a tool to help clients of all ages develop skills for self-expression, personal growth, and healing.

Kierra Hickey

Therapist

Kierra Hickey-Owen is a Clinical Counselor with Home Base Inc. Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can share struggles, learn practical tools, and apply insights to real-life challenges. She provides reflective listening, structured therapeutic interventions, and psychoeducation to support a wide range of diagnoses and life transitions. Through tailored treatment planning, Kierra helps clients build resilience and develop healthier coping strategies.

Courtney Fair

Outreach Coordinator

Courtney Fair is an Outreach Coordinator and Supportive Counselor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She travels throughout Monongalia and Marion counties to help families spend quality time together and work toward reunification. She also supports children in the CSED program by assisting children in strengthening their mental resilience and helping them develop the skills needed to thrive. Courtney has been with Home Base Inc. for two years, growing her expertise in supporting families and guiding children through challenging experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her four cats and geriatric guinea pig, who warmly greet her each day—bringing joy and a bit of chaos.

Laurie Flores

Wraparound Facilitator

Laurie serves as a Wraparound Facilitator, providing collaborative, family-centered support to children and families. She helps develop individualized care plans that build on each family’s strengths and connect them with community resources to promote stability and growth. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in psychology to further expand her knowledge of behavioral health practices. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience working in healthcare and educational settings, serving in roles such as Counselor, Wraparound Facilitator, Autism Mentor, Behavior Specialist, and Teacher. She is committed to a person-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and evidence-based strategies to promote lasting positive change. Outside of her professional role, Laurie enjoys crafting and spending quality time with her family, particularly activities that nurture creativity and connection.

Jennifer Kahly

Wraparound Facilitator

Jennifer Kahly is a Wraparound Facilitator with Home Base Inc., dedicated to helping families in Preston County stay together and thrive. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at West Virginia University. Outside of work and school, Jennifer enjoys quilting, reading, and gardening.

Rossalyn Martin

Paraprofessional

Rossalyn Martin is a Paraprofessional with Home Base Inc. She ensures that visitations are conducted safely and on schedule, assisting with transportation for children and families as needed. Outside of work, Rossalyn enjoys spending time in nature, including hiking and camping, and exploring the breathtaking views that the outdoors has to offer.

Allison Broughton

Outreach Coordinator

Alli Broughton is an Outreach Coordinator and Supportive Counselor with Home Base Inc. She strives to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment where clients feel heard, supported, and equipped to achieve stability and well-being. Alli approaches each situation with empathy and respect, helping families build on their strengths. In her role, she specializes in individualized parenting interventions, facilitating safe and supportive supervised visits, and providing supportive counseling and adult skill-building services. Outside of work, Alli enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs, as well as practicing yoga and spending time outdoors.

Brooke Parkinson

Outreach Coordinator

Brooke Parkinson is an Outreach Coordinator and Supportive Counselor with Home Base Inc. She supports individuals and families by connecting them with resources, fostering personal growth, and promoting overall well-being. Her work involves helping clients identify goals, develop coping strategies, and navigate barriers to success. Brooke brings experience in case management, community outreach, and behavioral support services. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts, coloring, and reading.

Michelle Richmond

Therapist

Michelle Richmond is a Clinical Counselor at Home Base Inc. In her role, she strives to meet clients where they are, building strong connections to create an accepting and supportive environment. Michelle has extensive experience in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as in client advocacy within complex systems. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys playing video games with her husband and spending time with their three cats.

Eric Moats

Outreach Coordinator

Eric Moats serves as a Supportive Counselor and Outreach Coordinator. In this role, he works to meet clients where they are, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to improve their daily lives. Through individualized parenting sessions, Eric supports parents in expanding their knowledge and strengthening their interactions with their children. As a Supportive Counselor, Eric works with children, adolescents, and adults to encourage personal growth, address challenges, and support individualized treatment goals. With 13 years of experience and a strong ability to connect with adolescents, he is committed to fostering meaningful change and improving overall well-being, even when progress feels slow. Outside of work, Eric enjoys playing the guitar.

Jeremy Sutherland

Outreach Coordinator

Jeremy Sutherland is an Outreach Coordinator and Supportive Counselor with Home Base Inc. He provides parenting classes, adult skill-building sessions, and supervised family time, and supports children in the CSED program through counseling services. Jeremy has been with Home Base Inc. for eight years and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with his three children.

Monica Lewis

Clinical Counselor

Monica Lewis is a counselor with Home Base Inc., passionate about helping children, families, and individuals develop coping strategies, build confidence, and create positive change. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Monica brings a holistic approach to counseling, informed by her experience as a fitness coach and her understanding of the challenges and joys of family life as a mother of four. She enjoys supporting children, teens, and families in building resilience and healthy routines. Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her children, taking daily walks with her dogs, and engaging in regular strength training.

Amber Walker

Wraparound Facilitator

Amber Walker is a Wraparound Facilitator with Home Base Inc., helping youth and families identify their strengths and connect with resources, community support, and tools that build lasting resilience. Her background spans counseling, prevention, outreach, and education, with experience supporting individuals and families in areas including mental health, substance use, parenting, and domestic violence. Amber approaches her work with authenticity, compassion, and a sense of humor, understanding that connection and trust are key to helping families grow. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, supporting small businesses, and using TikTok to relax and share joy with her community.

Ashley Kimble

Therapist

Ashley Kimble is a part-time Therapist with Home Base Inc., bringing a trauma-informed approach to her work with clients. She incorporates elements of art and play to create a safe and supportive space for clients to process and express their emotions and experiences. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time with her pets, and attending all West Virginia University football home games.

Presley Weese

Outreach Coordinator

Presley Weese serves as an Outreach Coordinator and Supportive Counselor with Home Base Inc. As an Outreach Coordinator, Presley works with clients to provide the tools and skills they need to reach their full parenting potential. She also assists clients in accessing resources and developing skills for everyday life, including job readiness, housing, budgeting, and addiction support. In her role as a Supportive Counselor, Presley helps clients achieve the personal goals they set with their therapists, offering an additional supportive and listening presence. Outside of work, Presley enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and pets, attending her children’s sporting events, and enjoying coffee. She especially loves the fall and winter seasons and all the activities they bring.

Tiffany Timmerman

Wraparound Facilitation Program Director

As the Wraparound Program Director, it is my responsibility to facilitate all WV Wraparound Programs for Home Base Inc. across the state of West Virginia. I ensure that all staff are trained and supported in their direct work with families on a daily basis. As the Wraparound Facilitation Program Director, I assign families in need to staff for Safe at Home and the Children with Serious Emotional Disorders Waiver program for Wraparound Services. I have been with Home Base Inc. for over two and a half years, starting as a Wraparound Facilitator, then being promoted to a Lead Wraparound Facilitator, a Wraparound Facilitation Program Supervisor and now the Wraparound Facilitation Program Director. Prior to my work at Home Base Inc., I worked in Child Welfare for 10 years, conducting Child Protective Services Investigations, Intake for the Abuse and Neglect Hotline, Child Protective Services Ongoing Services and Family Preservation Services.
